Football Betting Tips
Most NFL bettors look at the teams and compare their records. They probably check the scores from the previous week to see how those teams fared and from there they decide their pick; however, there’s much more to it than that if you really want to win.
Always see where each team stands for a particular game in terms of what they’ve been doing recently and what is coming ahead. See if the team is riding momentum coming into the game or whether they might be looking ahead to a bigger opponent, becoming vulnerable to a letdown game. Also, if a team is coming off a big win, they can suffer an emotional letdown and underperform for the next game.
Look at overall trends, how have the teams played one another in the past? Who has had an advantage? How does each team play when they have to travel or when they’re coming off their bye week? These crucial factors can make the difference when it comes to NFL betting.
How to Bet On Football
Football is one of the most popular sports out there, and is also one of the most popular sports to bet on. But it’s not always easy to bet on football, especially with all of the different betting options out there. That’s why America’s Bookie’s Football Betting section is here.

Football Wager Types
Read about all the different ways to bet on a football game. We will go in-depth with all of the different football betting options, and we also give you some examples as well to help make betting on football as easy as possible. So let’s get it going.
Point Spread
Point spread betting is something you hear about every day in the world of sports betting. When you are betting the spread, you are betting “ATS,” which is against the spread. ATS or point spread betting evens the playing field out, and in fact makes sports betting the difficult habit that it is today.
Moneyline
Moneyline bets can be used with pretty much any type of sport. Each sport will have a winner and a loser, so sportsbooks will have a team in which they feel will win, and a team that will lose. Of course the winning team will give a worse payout than the team that is the underdog.
Parlays
A parlay is a collection of two or more teams, in which you must win all of the games to win the game. The problem with a parlay is just that you must win ALL of the games to get paid. Be wise when you bet on parlay’s, you must win ALL of the games to get paid. So, even if you win three out of four, it will be the same as losing all four.
Teasers
A teaser bet is a bit of a parlay bet, which allows players to reduce their risk. A teaser bet offers the opportunity to bet on point spreads or game totals, and then “tease” or adjust the line to give them a better chance of winning. Of course, their chances to win come at a cost? which is reduced odds.
Game Props
A prop bet is a wager on an individual player or specific event in a game/match that is not directly connected to the outcome of a game. This type of wagering allows you to place wagers on outcomes within the game rather than on the game as a whole e.g., points spread, moneyline, and/or totals.
Buying Points
Buying points is just how it sounds. You are buying a point towards the team you want to cover the spread. Buying points is something that all the best sports bettors do at some point. If you are new to the world of sports betting, it would be a great idea to be familiar with that it means to buy points.
